- Summary:
- This is a classical two-semester undergraduate course on this subject, with some minor variations:
- The topic of Newton-Bairstow method is ideal for discussing
code differentiation.
- Householder transformations are ideal for describing the QR decomposition.
- Least-squares has a taste of finite elements. Spaces of piecewise linear
functions and constraints lead to interesting exercises and discussions.
- Taylor's method for the numerical solution of ODEs also invites to be presented by code differentiation.
- Access to blackboard's pictures.
